Capac came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals on Saturday. This was payback for the Chiefs, who suffered a 13-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

B Tesnow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Capac got a big performance out of A Howard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. W Roose was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Capac's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
