Volleyball Game Preview: Naperville Central Redhawks vs. Downers Grove North Trojans

The Naperville Central Redhawks will face off against the Downers Grove North Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Downers Grove North took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Naperville Central, who comes in off a win.

Downers Grove North will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Naperville Central extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Redhawks came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against DeKalb.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Naperville Central who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 24-26, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Downers Grove North faced Downers Grove South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12.

Naperville Central's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Downers Grove North, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
