Football Recap: Sutherland Comes Up Short

If Sutherland was riding high fresh off their 76-16 takedown of Morrill last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sailors were outmatched by the Perkins County Plainsmen and fell 54-16. The defeat continues a trend for the Sailors in their meetings with the Plainsmen: they've now lost four in a row.

Sutherland's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Perkins County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sutherland will square off against rival Hemingford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Perkins County is set to take on their familiar foe Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
