Basketball Recap: Weatherford Falls Despite Big Games from Maddison Baruch and Landrie Polk

Weatherford has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the North Crowley Panthers on Tuesday, falling 46-26. The game marked the Kangaroos' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Landrie Polk and Maddison Baruch certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Polk posted ten points, while Baruch had eight points. That was a full 38.5% of Weatherford's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Weatherford's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for North Crowley, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Weatherford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-56 loss against Lake Ridge on the 10th. North Crowley has also already played their next game, a 57-50 defeat against Boswell on the 11th.
