Basketball Game Preview: Howard Huskies vs. Academy of Richmond County Musketeers

The Howard Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Howard is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-30, which was the final score in Howard's tilt against Cross Creek last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on SaturdayAcademy of Richmond County capped 2024 with a 57-55 win over Washington County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Musketeers.

Academy of Richmond County's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Howard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Howard couldn't quite finish off Academy of Richmond County in their previous matchup back in December of 2014 and fell 68-65. Can Howard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
