Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Gibbons). They blew past the Sanderson Spartans 71-38 on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 63-14 victory last Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cardinal Gibbons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaclyn Deis, who posted ten points. Thanks to that strong game, Deis now owns an excellent 46.3% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Lilly Kenefick, who earned eight points and nine boards.

Cardinal Gibbons' victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Sanderson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-20.

Coming up, Cardinal Gibbons won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Leesville Road at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesville Road is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. Sanderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
