Thursday just wasn't the day for West Aurora's offense. They fell just short of the Glenbard East Rams by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Blackhawks' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

West Aurora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oscar Alexander Jr., who went 1-for-3 with one double.

West Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 26-6. As for Glenbard East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

West Aurora is taking a road trip to take on Wheaton Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glenbard East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metea Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
