Volleyball Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Takes a Loss

Cesar E. Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Heights Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lobos of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Cesar E. Chavez was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Heights' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-18.

Cesar E. Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cesar E. Chavez and Heights will both be playing Lamar the next time they take the court. The Lobos will host the Texans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
