Softball Recap: Nettleton Raiders vs. Batesville Pioneers

Nettleton had lost 11 straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-20 to make it 12. They came up short against the Batesville Pioneers, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Tuesday.

As for Batesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-18. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games.

For Batesville's part, Addilyn Bookout was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bookout was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Shaylee Horton was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Addyson Fisher was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
