Basketball Recap: West Stanly Triumphs

On Friday, the West Stanly Colts slipped by the Bradford Prep Bears 73-72. The win was all the more spectacular given the Colts' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Bears are ranked 129th).

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Jones, who posted 26 points. Kaden Bradley was another key player, putting up 22 points.

West Stanly is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Bradford Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

West Stanly will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Bradford Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Bradford Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.
