Soccer Game Preview: Capital vs. River Ridge

The Capital Cougars will venture away from home to take on the River Ridge Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Capital and Lakes finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Capital's goal came courtesy of Tanner Fricke, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, River Ridge has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Peninsula.

River Ridge's draw makes their record 0-2-3 this season. As for Capital, they moved theirs to 2-2-2.

Capital took their win against River Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Capital since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
