Basketball Recap: Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 79-31 loss at the hands of the Lawrenceville Indians. The contest marked Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leading Lawrenceville to victory were Zander Cessna and Jayden Goff. Cessna went 9-for-16 on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Goff went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Maddox Pargin, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 11 points and five rebounds.

Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Lawrenceville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
