Recap: Aquinas Academy Crusaders vs. Greenwood Mennonite Flames
This season hasn't been kind to the Aquinas Academy Crusaders, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 43-42 to Greenwood Mennonite. Aquinas Academy has struggled against Greenwood Mennonite recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Greenwood Mennonite's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Mast, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Carter Long was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Aquinas Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenwood Mennonite, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
