Baseball Recap: Medina Has No Trouble Against Our Lady of the Hills

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Braunfels Christian Academy, Medina was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Our Lady of the Hills Hawks as the Medina Bobcats made off with a 12-5 victory. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Davis Peterson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Anthony Silva was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cody Boatman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Medina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of the Hills only posted an OBP of .440.

Medina's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Our Lady of the Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Medina will host Leakey at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of the Hills will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Medina at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th.
