Volleyball Recap: Pace Falls to South Walton in First Game of Season

Pace had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the South Walton Seahawks, falling 3-0. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Seahawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2020.

While Pace had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.

Marley Manning paced Pace's offense, picking up 12 kills. Manning got some help from Liv Riffell and her 18 assists. Manning was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pace will be playing in front of their home fans against Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Walton, they will square off against Beachside on Saturday.
