What's even better news for Florida State coaches and administrators is that three of them are already enrolled at the school.

Derwin James, a safety from Haines City (Fla.), defensive end Josh Sweat, from Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.), and wide receiver George Campbell, of East Lake (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) are all blue chip recruits on campus and already learning Jimbo Fisher’s system.

James ranks No. 5 on the 247Sports composite recruiting list overall (any position), while Sweat is No. 9 and Campbell No. 18.

Three other 4-star recruits are already enrolled as well: running back Jacques Patrick, of Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.), along with wide receiver Da'Vante Phillips and safety Calvin Brewton, both of Central (Miami).

The team’s other five-star recruit is cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, of American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.).

In all, Florida State has 21 commitments before Wednesday’s National Signing Day, including 10 4-star standouts and seven 3-star players.

Florida State ranks second in the team recruiting rankings, according to 247Sports, with 285.52 points, trailing only Alabama (307.95). Thirteen of Florida State's commits are from the Sunshine State.
