Softball Game Preview: Godley Wildcats vs. Lake Dallas Falcons

For the second straight game, Godley will face off against Lake Dallas. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Godley is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.

Godley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Lake Dallas get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Not much got past Karlee Clark, who gave up just two hits to keep Lake Dallas off the board. Clark has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Sullivan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Godley's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Lake Dallas, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.
