Softball Recap: Interboro Buccaneers vs. Springfield Cougars
After flying high against Penncrest last Tuesday, Interboro came back down to earth. The Interboro Buccaneers fell just short of the Springfield Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Friday. Interboro has not had much luck with Springfield recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Maryanna Nagle was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Harrity, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Interboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interboro will take on Perkiomen Valley at 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Strath Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
