Baseball Recap: Mountain House Comes Up Short

Mountain House was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Manteca Buffaloes, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss last Wednesday.

Mountain House saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mountain House's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Manteca, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mountain House is set to take on their familiar foe East Union at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. Meanwhile, Manteca will square off against rival Oakdale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Manteca 2.9, Oakdale 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
