Eureka had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eureka easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Eureka's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
