Baseball Recap: Belle Tigers vs. Eugene Eagles
Belle had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 8-9 to make it four. They fell just short of the Eugene Eagles by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
As for Eugene, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
