Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Napoleon's Winning Streak

Napoleon lost against Perrysburg back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Napoleon Wildcats fell 48-39 to the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 116th).

Despite the loss, Napoleon still got an impressive performance from Hannah Miller, who went 5 of 8 en route to 16 points and three steals. That's the most steals Miller has posted since back in November of 2024. Chloe Cicero was another key player, putting up six points and five assists.

Napoleon moved to 10-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Perrysburg, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Napoleon Wildcats take on the Southview Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perrysburg, they will take on Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
