Basketball Game Preview: Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers vs. Bellaire Cardinals

Houston Math Science & Tech is 1-9 against Bellaire since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers challenge the Bellaire Cardinals at 12:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Houston Math Science & Tech was beaten by Heights 71-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1190th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 279th).

Meanwhile, Bellaire strolled past Lamar with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Bellaire has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-19.

Houston Math Science & Tech was taken down by Bellaire 71-24 when the teams last played back in January. Can Houston Math Science & Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
