Sylmar entered their tilt with Chatsworth on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Chancellors with points to spare, taking the game 29-15. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 21-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sylmar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tim Tanner Jr, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 177 yards and one TD. Reyleo Reyes also helped out as he racked up 167 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sylmar was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Sylmar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reyes and Elizeo Reyes.

Sylmar's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Chatsworth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylmar will challenge Canoga Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Chatsworth, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cleveland at 7:15 p.m. on October 3.
