Dylan Shelton posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 20 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Shelton and High Tech NC will face off against Bayfront Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raptor had to take a loss when they last met the Sharks, but Shelton had little to do with the loss: he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
