Softball Recap: Somonauk Comes Up Short

Somonauk and Morrison squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Somonauk had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bobcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The loss snapped Somonauk's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14 record. As for Morrison, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.

Somonauk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morrison, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Princeton on the 24th.
