Basketball Game Preview: T.W. Andrews Red Raiders vs. Reidsville Rams

T.W. Andrews hasn't had much luck against Reidsville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The T.W. Andrews Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reidsville Rams at 8:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, T.W. Andrews was able to grind out a solid win over Triad Baptist Christian Academy, taking the game 56-48.

Meanwhile, Reidsville put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Orange 88-53. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Reidsville's win came from a few key players T.W. Andrews will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dionte Neal, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 25 points along with eight assists and seven steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 43 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendre Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards.

Reidsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 43 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Reidsville pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.5 points. As for T.W. Andrews, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

T.W. Andrews might still be hurting after the 95-75 defeat they got from Reidsville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point T.W. Andrews was down 52-29.
