Baseball Game Preview: Kents Hill School Huskies vs. Pingree Highlanders

The Kents Hill School Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Pingree Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Kents Hill School nor Pingree posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Kents Hill School's offense. They lost 11-0 to Austin Prep on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Huskies were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Pingree came up short against Portsmouth Abbey on Wednesday and fell 5-2. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss snapped Kents Hill School's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Pingree, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.

Kents Hill School suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Pingree when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
