Flandreau has gone 8-2 against Madison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Flandreau Fliers will head out on the road to square off against the Madison Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Flandreau will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Flandreau got the win against Garretson by a conclusive 41-21. Given the Fliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Blue Dragons are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Madison came up short against Vermillion on Tuesday, falling 49-23. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tanagers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Flandreau, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Flandreau against Madison in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 71-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flandreau since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
