Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon Rams vs. Carbondale Terriers
While Mt. Vernon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Carbondale Terriers on Tuesday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Terriers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Danicah Tobin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
