Softball Recap: Lompoc Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frontier, Lompoc was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Joseph Knights by a score of 7-3. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 7-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alex Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Teagan Thompson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Rianna Stouppe, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Lompoc's record is now 5-1. As for St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Lompoc has already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against Mission College Prep on the 19th. As for St. Joseph, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Arroyo Grande on the 19th.
