Basketball Recap: Borger's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Borger lost against Canyon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Borger Bulldogs took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

With the loss, Borger broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-17. As for Canyon, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borger will square off against Perryton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canyon, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Andrews at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th.
