Softball Recap: White River Valley Takes a Loss

White River Valley and Bloomfield squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but White River Valley had to settle for second. They lost 12-2 to the Cardinals. The Wolverines have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

White River Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zyleigh Abrams-Condol, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Abrams-Condol has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

White River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Bloomfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

White River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bloomfield, they will square off against Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eels have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
