Gates County was the 3-1 winner over Perquimans when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Barons fell 3-1 to the Pirates on Monday. Gates County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Jacob Collins, who's now up to 15 this season.

Gates County's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Perquimans, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10-1.

Gates County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Holmes on the 15th. As for Perquimans, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Manteo on the 15th.
