Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Oak Cliff Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one run.

Jonathan Menefee was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Oak Cliff, the victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-1 win against Carter on the 27th. As for South Oak Cliff, they will be taking part in a tournament against Adams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
