Basketball Recap: Anacortes Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Anacortes won the last time they faced Ferndale and things went their way on Saturday too. The Anacortes Seahawks came out on top against the Ferndale Golden Eagles by a score of 57-46 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anacortes has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Ferndale, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anacortes will take on Blaine at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Anacortes is facing Blaine at the right time seeing as Blaine is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Ferndale, they will square off against Sedro-Woolley at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Sedro-Woolley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
