Basketball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

Greenfield was the 84-61 winner over Milwaukee Lutheran when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks fell 82-74 to the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hustlin' Hawks came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Red Knights are ranked 179th).

Greenfield's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 20-2. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield will venture away from home to square off against Shorewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against New Berlin West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
