Baseball Game Preview: West Wolfpack vs. Antioch Panthers

The West Wolfpack will take on the Antioch Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

West is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Castro Valley on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to the Trojans. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Crotts, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Antioch entered their tilt with Hercules on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They had just enough and edged out the Titans 3-1. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Nathan Fritzler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Antioch, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
