Soccer Recap: Sahuaro Takes a Loss

Sahuaro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 17th).

Sahuaro's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Mica Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sahuaro will face off against Ironwood Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ironwood Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sahuaro surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mica Mountain, they will challenge Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
