Baseball Game Preview: Bristol Eastern Lancers vs. Torrington Raiders

The Bristol Eastern Lancers are taking a road trip to challenge the Torrington Raiders at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bristol Eastern has three straight victories, Torrington has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bristol Eastern's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They didn't even let Conard on the board, marking the Lancers' second-straight 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Torrington fell victim to Ansonia and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bristol Eastern's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Torrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Bristol Eastern couldn't quite finish off Torrington in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 5-3. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
