Softball Game Preview: Chippewa Chipps vs. Firestone Falcons

The Chippewa Chipps will face off against the Firestone Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chippewa hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Chippewa lost 13-2 to Norwayne on Tuesday.

Chippewa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydince Zentiska, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Firestone fell victim to Ellet and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Orangement, falling 10-0.

Chippewa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Firestone, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Chippewa came out on top in a nail-biter against Firestone in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 14-12. Will the Chipps repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
