Basketball Recap: Trimble Comes Up Short

Trimble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 90-38 loss at the hands of the Chesapeake Panthers. The Tomcats lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in January of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 60-48 score last time.

Trimble's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Chesapeake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trimble will take on Belpre at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chesapeake, they will face off against Ironton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ironton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
