Decatur is a perfect 10-0 against Castleberry since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will host the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Decatur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Decatur made easy work of Bridgeport and carried off a 13-3 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulls recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Alivia Creasser made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madi Moreland, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBI. Abby Steele was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Decatur kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bridgeport only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Castleberry earned a 7-4 win over Bridgeport on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Rand'Elle Conner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Cassandra Martinez was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Cardenas, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Decatur pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Castleberry, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16-1.
Decatur skirted past Castleberry 5-4 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
