Soccer Recap: Midd-West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Midd-West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Warrior Run Defenders on Monday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Midd-West's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Warrior Run are ranked 180th).

Midd-West's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Warrior Run, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7-1.

Looking ahead, Midd-West will head out to face off against Montoursville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Midd-West's defense better be ready for this one: Montoursville have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Warrior Run, they will welcome Selinsgrove at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
