Basketball Recap: Littleton Lions vs. Kennedy Commanders
On Tuesday, the Littleton Lions didn't have quite enough to beat the Kennedy Commanders and fell 38-36. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vicky Whitney and Emma Bird certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Whitney posted nine points and eight rebounds, while Bird dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Whitney has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played.
Even though they lost, Littleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy only pulled down nine offensive boards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Williams, who had 14 points and eight rebounds. Mercedes Gerry was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.
Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Littleton and Skyview will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy will take on Jefferson Academy in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson Academy's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Kennedy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
