Strasburg has been away from home for two games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Wiggins Tigers at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Liberty Common was looking to beat Strasburg like they did the last time the pair played, but Liberty Common didn't take Maryann Weaver into account. Strasburg blew past Liberty Common 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Weaver, who had five digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last three games she's played.
Strasburg was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.
Strasburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Wiggins had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Dragons as they made off with a 3-0 win.
The victory didn't come easy: Holyoke scored at least 16 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-15.
Strasburg's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Wiggins, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
