Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Altamont

While Altamont's win against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg: they've now won five in a row.

Kade Milleville was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Milleville wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cooper McManaway, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Altamont's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.

Altamont has already played their next matchup, a 12-8 win against Tuscola on the 22nd. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ramsey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
