Volleyball Recap: Gulf Coast H HEAT vs. Palm Grove Christian Gators
Gulf Coast H was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Palm Grove Christian Gators, falling 3-0. The HEAT were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gators from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Gulf Coast H took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-21.
Their offense was headlined by Remy Hebert and Adam Rummings, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Aaron Light and his ten assists. Finally, Rummings was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Gulf Coast H's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Palm Grove Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gulf Coast H will challenge Venice at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the HEAT surely won't give up without a fight. As for Palm Grove Christian, they will take on Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
