Baseball Recap: Spackenkill Spartans vs. Wallkill Panthers
Spackenkill extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 16-4 to the Wallkill Panthers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Spackenkill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Brandenburg, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Bryan Hoyt was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Mayer, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Anthony Daley, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
Looking ahead, Spackenkill will square off against Millbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallkill, they will face off against Red Hook at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
