Basketball Recap: Frederick Beats Skyline for Their Second Straight Victory

If Skyline wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Frederick, they should've done a better job of containing Olly Justice. The Frederick Golden Eagles were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over the Skyline Falcons on Friday thanks in part to Justice, who went 5 of 11 en route to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Skyline lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Johnny McCray, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Rickman, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Frederick and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Skyline, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Frederick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-58 defeat against Broomfield on the 14th. As for Skyline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-42 loss against Legacy on the 13th.
